Has Joel Quarrington ever released a CD of him playing the Dragonetti concertos?

And if no, do you think he will in the future?

Nope.

I doubt he would, as there are plenty of recordings of the piece already out. He would also have to change the piece's original key, as the harmonic section would not go down too well in fifths.

We are still waiting on Bottesini vol. 2, though he and Naxos have made a deal where they may record more stuff (with composers other than Bottesini).

Is there even a planned release for that yet? I didn't know that they were planning to release a vol. 2. I really enjoyed his performance on the first one.

Seems to me I bought Volume 1 about 6-7 years ago. That sure implied at least a volume 2 was coming

Hey Illfavor,
Check out Lemur's online store @ lemurmusic.com. They've got a lot of good classical bass CDs, including ones with the Concertos you mentioned.

I recommend finding these ones: Entcho Radoukanov or Ludwig Streicher for the Vanhal, Georg Hörtnagel for the Dittersdorf (E Major), and Massimo Giorgi for the Dragonetti. If you like a more HIP approach, pick up Chi-Chi Nwanoku's recordings of the Vanhal and Dittersdorf concertos on Hyperion.
