How to obtain scores?

Hello All!

I watced an old video on YouTube, of an excellent performance of the main theme of Final Fantasy VII http://youtube.com/watch?v=jzz5cVt70j8). I'm seriously considering consulting my symphony director to try and find the scores for us to play. I think it's about at our level, but I have no ideas on how we would be able to get them.

Has anybody done something along these lines? If they have, could he/she give some suggestions or tell me what they did? I've only thought of sending *whoever owns the rights to the scores* a message of interest. That might take forever, and even then, there would probably be some massive language barrier. Could anybody give me a ballpark estimate for the price of purchasing copies of the original scores?

Thank you in advance to anybody who replies!

That's hilarious you've been looking at those Final Fantasy scores. I have been too! This one is so beautiful: http://youtube.com/watch?v=rLnZ5jcsRpc&feature=related I would love to play this myself and was wondering the same thing as you. In fact, I sent an email to our orchestra musical director suggesting he add this to the rep. It's incredible that wonderful music was composed for a video game!
