Mark Morton's Recital Program

I think I posted this in the wrong area. Its the program of Mark Morton for 3/18/07 at 3 p.m. recital. If you are in the Columbus, Ohio area, it's a must hear/see! Details of place and maps, etc can be found at www.asodb.com
Mark's recital program as follows;

The title of the recital is "Bottesini's Greatest Hits"

Giovanni Bottesini:

Introduction and Gavotte

Elegy

Tarantella

Concerto No. 2 (complete)

Reverie

N. Paganini: Variations on One String on a Theme from Rossini's Opera Moses in Egypt

G. Bottesini:

Introduction and Variations on "Carnival of Venice"

Capriccio di Bravura

If there was some way for him to record it. I would travel up there (only a few hundred miles) if I had the gas money.

Find two or three other bassists and split the gas! Back that night. It's probably deductable on your income tax! This is the cheapest lesson any bassist could get.

That is a good idea. But, it would be imposible to convince them (since it is a 5 hour drive each way). Is there anything else going on in the area during that time?

I was there. It was very good. He provided an introduction to each piece, explaining this thoughts on certain aspects, talked about his bass and took questions from the audience.

He finished the whole thing up with "Flight of the (Killer) Bumble Bee." Brilliant!
