I'm looking for some good bass duets. I really like Edgar's Canon in his Muisc for Two CD with Bela Fleck. I can't determine if this is the same Canon from the Boosey and Hawkes music libaray. Does anyone know?
i'm not sure. the easiest way would be to just write it down from the cd, since it is the same line played by bela and edgar. i know that it's in 15/8, so that gives you a start
OK you got me. I confess. I wrote a great duet book - 19 in all - and two of them are available at Bill's great site for FREE! The book covers advanced beginners to mod. advanced. "Harmonic Shuffle" is at the advanced end.

There's a book of fun but difficult duets by Frank Proto. If its still in print, Liben Music would have it.[/quote]
That might be the book I did with Frank many moons ago - Proto/Gale
As far as I know Liben still has it and so does Lemur. He also did the Bach's two part inventions for bass duets.

I transcribed the canon from the Edgar Meyer-Béla Fleck. I wrote it in 5-4 though... not sure if my transcription is accurate but I´ll be happy to share it with anyone... if that doesn´t take me to jail for breaking all copyright laws. I can email a PDF of it to anyone interested.
