O.P.'s stardust

Anyone have a transcription they'd be willing to share? I just transcribed it for a class and would be interested to see how others wrote it down. When I wrote it down there were a few things that seemed wierd to me because of the rubato time and all. It's the version off of the album another one.

thanks to those who share.

That solo is in Volker Nahrmann's Oscar Pettiford transcription book. I'm pretty sure Lemur Music carries it.

That Oscar Pettiford book has a million errors in it. There's a transcription of that solo in Todd Coolman's 'The Bass Tradition'.

It does have a lot of errors, but I still think it's a great book. I've transcribed a few OP solos, but to have 80 of them in one place is great. It definitely helps to have the recordings so that you can check for errors.

That Todd Coolman book is another great one to have.

yeah the assignment is done and handed in. I'm not really into buying transcription books, especially when I don't even have money to go check out music. If anyone wants to trade copies I'd be happy to share mine, but as of right now I just wanted to see how others had written it down.
