I liked the "noxious weed" part.

That would make me play On Green Dolphin Street in B then, I guess ( because we are GMT + 2 )

New real book

In the new real book, everything is supposed to be 'legal' and and all of the legal stuff is supposed to have been handled. My conscience is clear now that I am not an outlaw anymore...

Seriously, two things are deceiving :
1-The Frank Zappa songs are out. So long Peaches in Regalia
2-The book in bass key isn't out yet... Don't you get the reflex to go in thumb position everytimt you see a treble clef ? Anyway, I prefer the bass clef.

1- Peaches in Regalia is gone? Darn.
2- Is there any key besides C out yet anyway?

I bought the 6th edition in C. I've got the 5th in C and Bass. I'm trying to learn heads from the treble charts to help ram home reading in treble. [who'd a thunk it].

I'll probably buy the 6th in Bass eventually.

Yeah - great stuff, but, well, you don't see tunes like that called out at sessions.....LOL.....maybe at the knitting factory....

Feel is regional too! Man, here, people will only play "So What" and "Well You Needn't" in a half time funk ala 80s Miles. It would often get on my nerves. I think it's because the drummers hated doing "swing" parts.

No Goodbye Pork Pie Hat? No Peaches en Regalia?
Those are my two favorite songs ever.
