| My teacher had me using that CD in lessons while I was in my undergrad. He never made me buy the CD though. He would assign one of the Etudes and practice in unaccompanied during the week then have my play along with it in the lesson to see check on intonation and time (some of the accompaniments have weird rhythmic patterns for the piano and if you're internal tempo isn't dead on, it's easy to get way off of the piano recording). I would definitely recommend these play-a-longs.
