Tale of the Fingers

Does anyone have the melody to this tune written out? I transcribed it from the record but I'd like another opinion on certain sections which are difficult to hear.

Thanks,
Pete

The tune (and PC's solo) is written out in John Goldsby's arco book. I was just thinking about working this up so I'd be happy to compare it with your transcription.

I've got that book, I can probably get you a copy if you get stuck. That is, unless John posts here and wants to kick my a$$ for unauthorized duping of his book.... Maybe I can just clarify sections of it if you want.

That's a great book, BTW. It's one that I actually look forward to practicing... more so, now that I've switched to Evah Pirazzis.

I was just thinking of messing around with this tune on my duo gig as well.

Hey Pete,

I'll email you a copy of "Tale of the Fingers." You can buy me a beer sometime -- if we meet in Manhattan, one beer will cost well over half the price of the book

I'm looking forward to hearing you with Frankie V. Please tell him I said hello . . .

John
