"sixth position" version

A fun version using harmonics is included in my
"Bass Project Repertoire" (book 2) by;

Costanzi
Robinson
Vance

(contents of book 2 include...Abschied, Music Box, Sheep May Safely Graze, 6th pos. Harmonics and more!
I think this series now is published: Vol I = books 1-3 and Vol II = books 4-6. A well written series of very good instruction and fun to play music... well worth the $.

good luck! foilracer

Hey, Mister. I'm in Denver too. I'll private message you with my phone #. I can teach it to you over the phone. I'm serious....have your bass ready to play...I'll get mine when you call. It'll be fun. Once we get it together, you can call me back, put the phone in her ear and we'll play a bass duet for her. She can join us and sing along.
I AM serious.
PW.

I am, Jason. I did send my #. No luck yet. We'll let you know.

Please don't be afraid, Mister. I'm more sane than I appear to be on these pages. I even put together a little two part harmony thing. All done in the first 1/2 position for us both. Highest note is the A on your G string in the key of C.

What do you mean by "junkie changes", Jason? If it means what I think it means, that's not very nice of you.

Thanks drop. You're totally right.
I mess with these guys so much, they have "issues" when I try to be serious or even nice.

Thanks, man. I suggest C and you come along and take him into D.
I was really looking forward to seeing what would be the result of a real-life musical experience on the internet between real live people. You don't have a clue do you? You ruined a part my day. You guys from the bass guitar side are good at that.
Nice.

Hey Paul, I'll take you up on the lesson. I'm going for a bike ride in a minute but should be back in an hour or so. Also, I've heard a piano piece based on this melody featuring several elaborate variations on the basic theme; I wish I knew the name of the piece & 'composer'. Ring a bell?

If Paul lived in London ON he'd be sick of seeing me by now.

Steve....man, I needed that. Especially after this bull****. That cancelld out the BG guy's ruining of part of my yesterday, by giving me the shot at having a great today.
You've done this for me a few times before. Don't think I don't remember. Thank you.
PW.

None other than Mozart wrote 12 variations on this tune. I remember playing this on piano as a kid. Here's a Youtube version of variations.

I don't know what happened to Mr. Gray, but if Paul offered to help me I'd have dialed the phone so fast I'd have blisters on my fingers! What a great offer, PW.

Thumbs up Wino.

Wino....(say hi to Mrs. Wino, as per)
I hang here for two extreme reasons. First, to annoy people...a hobby.
Second, because I love the bass and am partial to anyone who feels the same, and if I can help....I'm up for it; either here on the forum or in PM. Even you......?
