Ironically, my last name is Graham, but I have no ability to slap whatsoever....
That was awesome. Brilliant to save that piece of crap song with Larry Graham's god-like bass powers.

It looks like it is in a stand, at least at the beginning. Maybe I am wrong.

| | | | Ever seen the video of Prince jamming with Larry on bass? Prince slaps a bit then promptly tosses his 7k$ warwick across the stage. That is painful to watch |

But I cringe whenever something is damaged by abuse, ignorance or for perverted reasons (like Hendrix setting fire to his guitar - and I really enjoy Hendrix, but at that point I close my eyes). |

Do whatever you want with it. There's a million more where that came from. You wanna throw it around, burn it, whatever. It's your property. Just stay away from mine because I can't afford that.

I feel that anything that is crafted by hands and that makes me happy by producing tones and sounds according to my desires deserves some respect for fulfilling it's design and purpose.
Using one for self defense aside - destruction of that object - although not a revered iconic object - is a blasphemous act I feel.
Trying to out-logic something that is akin to saying that if one were to knock a few teeth out of one's wife (or significant other) that it would also be an improvement. I don't see it that way.
All that and I don't like kittens or babies ----------- Go figger. But I'm old and I know how to use it. |

Don't you think that trying to find another human to KILL, KILL, KILL, KILL, KILL just because a bass accidently fell off a stand during a live performance may be a bit "excessive"?
Regrettably that happens pretty frequently, and that one didn't even look too bad.
So, what's your penalty for intentional abuse; what about people who relic perfectly good basses as their livelihood?
Murder their entire families, burn their houses and salt their land? Strike their names from all records, both public and private and cut out the tongues of anyone who speaks of them in the future? |

The Kill - Kill - Kill - etc line is from Arlo Guthrie's 'Alice's Restaurant' chant and under license I hope you can see the humor in it.
The obviated fact is that you, however, cannot.
From the old Shecky Greene line: "Is this an audience or an oil painting?"
In all seriousness, I regret kicking your water dish. |
