Good for him though.

Awesome skills, but the distorted recording makes it hurt to hear.

I thought the kid was cute and played well. I thought some of the comments were horrible. I'm surprised Youtube lets people be ignorant racists unencumbered. Yeah, freedom of speech and all, but the kid's 11.

Watching that gives you a little bit of faith, that in the future there will still be kids who will want to learn bass, rather than battering out root notes with a pick, and thinking Pete Wentz is the bee's knees!

Ah yes. I've seen that once before. Great playing. You can feel that groove.

The kid's playing is spot on, but he sound quality of the vid itself almost made my ears bleed.

I think it's a good thing. Everyone gets to see how stupid it looks to be an ignorant douchebag on a massively visited website. You don't get rid of racists and racism by ignoring it.

It is quite annoying though. With racists, a black guy (or any minority for that matter) can't be good at anything without it being due to innate natural ability. This kid probably already has too many hours in the shed to count.

I played a medium [was it small?] scale bass as a kid. Such small arms and hands on a full scale is impressive.
