Was 1951 the greatest year for Electric bassists?

Today Verdine White turned 55 according to NPR. That means he was born in 1951 like Stanley Clarke, Jaco Pastorious, Anthony Jackson, Will Lee, I think Alphonso Johnson, and sure some others too. That was a heck of a year for bassists!

I think Sting, Bootsy Collins, John Deacon from Queen, Dougie Thomson of Supertramp AND as was the original Fender P-bass.. I agree, a damn good vintage!
