Many threads about why a 5 or 6 string bass is necessary. To me it depends on what you like to do-can do-want to do-and how you want to challenge yourself to go a little beyond what you already know. Thats all well and good. When a bassist is able to be technically proficient that's one thing. There is a human element that goes along with this as well as the business of it. Perhaps watching this will help some folks approach their own quest with a little more good advice from those in the business.
