"6/or 'x' degrees of separation" TB-style!

Ok, Everyone has heard the old '6 Degrees of Separation/Kevin Bacon' Paradigm... Where most actors can be linked to Kevin Bacon with in a minimum 6 degrees of separation...

Here's a game that we can play that that is Bassist related. Start with the Bassist and link that bassist to either another bassist/group/leader/ or sideman. The more Obscure the better.

Kudos to those that can encorporate themselves in it, either at the beginning, middle or end of the process.

For Example: 'Stew McKinsey --> Average White Band'
how you might ask?

Stew McKinsey was in BOG
Sam Kinninger was in BOG
Sam Kinninger was in Soulive
Eric Krazno was in Soulive
Eric Krazno was in Lettuce
Adam Deitch was in Lettuce
Adam Deitch was plucked from Lettuce to play with AWB...

You get it?

Alright, here goes for me:

ME (i.e. jairaj courtney davyd swann) --> Brad Paisley (country music pop star):

*I have performed/recorded with Michael Levine
*Michael Levine and I recorded/performed with a session drummer Kevin Leahy
*Kevin Leahy recorded/performed with Shawn Mullins
*Shawn Mullins recorded/performed with Dave LaBruyere
*Dave LaBruyere recorded/performed with John Mayer
*John Mayer has performed with Brad Paisley on the CMT special 'Crossroads.

We tried this before...seems like everyone could be linked through Miles Davis.

Here's an easy one-
Peter Tork to Jaco

Hehe, I did this the other day at work to link myself to Les Claypool, was kinda funny.

I play with my teacher who is in Bagg.
Bagg has played with Jacob Fred Jazz Oddessey
Jacob Fred has a member in the Dead Kenny G's (Brian Haas)
The Dead Kenny G's has Skerik and Mike Dillon
Les's Flying Frog Brigade has Skerik and Mike Dillon

Tada! And only took me 5 moves lol.

Well Skerik is kinda a Kevin Bacon among musicians lol. Ive seen him 4 or 5 times, so far, never with the same band lol. And I know of at least 6 bands he's in regularly lol.

Still, good to be close

Hmmmm...I can (kind of) get myself to Claypool....

Me to my teacher
My teacher to Pharoah Sanders (never -played- with him, but knows him...so I don't know if that counts)
Sanders to Bill Laswell (sp)
Bill Laswell to Praxis (i.e Buckethead and Bernie Worrel, Brain)
The three of them to Claypool.

Of course, if that counts, I would also be linked to Coltrane, Miles,etc...which is actually a pretty cool thought.

Here's a short, lame one:

Me-> My sister (not a bassist)-> she is friends with Dan Weinkauf (They Might Be Giants)

I met him once many years ago before I knew who he was.
