AC/DC High Voltage Bass player

Does anyone know who REALLY played bass on the Australian only release of the High Voltage album for AC/DC. I've read that George Young filled in on bass for it and I've also read that Rob Bailey actually played bass on the whole album. Dunno which one is true.

All I know is that "It's a long way to the top, if you wanna rock n roll".

Been to the AC/DC website. There's a bio coming soon. Might shed more light on the subject.

Yeah he's the older of brother of Malcolm and Angus. He was a guitarist with 60's Aussie pop band The Easybeats. He also produced a lot of AC?DC's albums.

Exactly. He's credited in the first two american AC/DC albums ("High Voltage" and "Let There Be Rock") and he should also be the bass player in "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" and "74 Jailbreak". Cliff Williams made his debut in "Powerage".

It wasn't Mark Evans as he joined in March 75 while the Aussie High Voltage album was recorded in January 75. In a Bon Scott book I have it states that Rob Bailey (even Bailey says it too) played bass for the whole album and was sacked straight after it's recording. I've also read that George Young played bass on the album. Apparently AC/DC and Albert Productions are very tight-lipped about this. Stuffed if I know why though. Maybe they don't want to pay Bailey 31 years worth of royalties.
