Anyone know who played bass on Bobby Womack's "Across 110th Street?".

Wow!That's a blast from the past!I think Chuck Rainey & Willie Weeks played on some of his big hits.

The album credits on my CD suck, but from the time period['72] I would also guess Weeks or Rainey. The CD also lists Tommy Cogbill and David Hood, but you know it's their grooves on earlier songs like Midnight Mover.

The original album does not list the individual musicians. It says the song was performed by Bobby Womack & Peace.

That song will forever remind me of Jackie Brown.

I have a Womack Greatest Hits and I've always wondered that and who did "Woman's Gotta Have It." Such a great vibe and feel.
