After seeing Rush twice this week, I can safely say...

They're a band that can still really hold their s*** live (I saw them in Milwaukee and Mpls). And furthermore, all of the problems on my mind are completely put to rest by just seeing such a musical force at work. I do have some things I have been and really still should be worried about, but I'm just going with the flow now. I feel good again, and I have Geddy to thank for it. That's what makes a band great in my opinion: the complete release from the world one gets through their music.

I just got back from the MPLS show. My mouth is still hanging open...I am in total awe.

Geddy is the MAN, and the other two guys on stage weren't too bad either.

In all seriousness, I have been a devoted fan of Rush for 23 of my 30 years, and they were nothing short of amazing tonight.

Here's looking forward to the next album and tour!

Twice in a week! I'm jealous. I saw the first show of the tour, almost three months ago. Seems like forever.
I finally got around to watching the MVI the other night. The "making of Snakes & Arrows" movie is so cool! All that studio footage, Neil interviewed on camera for the first time in who knows how long.. this is really a must for any Rush fan.

I have seen Rush on every tour since 1981's Moving Pictures except maybe one in the 90's that I missed when I was away on vacation.

I am seeing them in Toronto in a couple of weeks even though I have to get up at 4:00am the next day and drive to Ottawa for a work thing (4+ hours).

And, yes.... Geddy and the band can still play!

Seeing them on their hometown turf has got to be VERY cool.

You'll have to watch for Geddy's bass changes; he uses the 72 Jazz for most of it, but there are some cool one-offs here and there...the fretless and the Ric, for starters!

I got to see them on my birthday in Cleveland! My parents got me four 10th row tickets; center stage. I am the only Rush fanatic I know, so I brought 2 friends who were casual fans, and a 3rd who was always reminded me about his distaste for Rush. Im still amazed I got him to go. Halfway into The Main Monkey Business (when Alex is playing that spacey solo before he starts to rip it) I look over, and my friend is standing there with his jaw open. As the song ends, he turned to me and said "That. Was. Spectacular." And by the end of the show he was saying "I never EVER saw myself seeing Rush... and I never ever EVER saw myself liking them! The timing changes! The musicianship! The tightness! The melodies, harmonies! The raw talent! The roasted chickens! I cant believe I like Rush! Damnit!"

^^^ Great story!

Just saw today that the boys are swinging back through the Great NW.
I'm thinking of going again.

That's got to be pretty important if you happen to catch the 24-hour bug just before you go onstage.

I can't believe I still haven't been to a Rush show. Seen lots of live footage of them and easily agree that they aren't just a great live band for guys in their 50s, but they can put on better shows than bands half their age.

Just get good seats, not fun watching them too far away and the audio delays kill the whole experience. --Kent

Fantastic picture of the boys in concert, just like I remember them last summer at the Tweeter Center here in Mass. Hope PhilRitter21 doesn't mind, but it's now my new desktop wallpaper!
