Al Cisneros (OM, Sleep) video interview

Sign in to disble this ad
He gets mentioned here from time to time, but this is the first time I've ever heard him talk about playing bass to the extent that he does here.

http://blogs.guitarworld.com/metalku...ult-interview/

His backline is 2 4x15's 2 4x12's and 2 15's

Nice link!

Cant wait for Shrinebuilder, I get the feeling the interviewer annoyed Al in that interview at points.

Rad, cheers.

The latest OM album is freakin' incredible. I'm not the biggest High on Fire fan, but these dudes carry on their previous legacy just great. Shrinebuilder has the possibility to crush everything in its path (like Down), or... oh who are we kidding, Scott Kelly, Wino, and these two dudes? Album of 2008, most assuredly.

Yeah, it looks that way. What a bummer.

Can't wait for the Live at Jerusalem LP though.

Yeah its kinda depressing what a great band though! Curious as to why he left since they've been playing together so damn long...

My guess is something to do with having a wife and kids. Responsibilities, I think that's the word.

As much as I hate to admit it, it looks like there comes a time in your life when you've got to stop smoking weed and turning it up to 11.

Fortunately, cranking my rig as loud as it'll go and playing the opening riff to "On The Mountain At Dawn" will always bring a smile to my face, even when I'm old.

Damn you! I missed seeing them twice, and that's my favorite song of theirs.

Yeah I saw that while browsing today that clip has the best lighting I've seen yet of him playing he definitely has some different technique on his right hand.
