It doesnt feel as "doomy" as Om.. I actually prefered that. But this is pretty neat aswell. At Giza is a freaking masterpiece though.

I am totally jazzed on the album! I honestly didn't have very high(lol) hopes. Not my fave of 09, but a great album.

Got the album a couple days ago. It's amazing. I was surprised at how non-derivative it sounds. There are definite elements from the members' previous work, but overall it sounds pretty new. I hope they play some shows in the bay area, I'd definitely like to see this band live. Hopefully there will be a lot more music from this group.

i touched on this in the effects forum....Al and Wino both are using Effects made by Mountainking electronics....thay are mostly using an awesome fuzz called the Megalith

normally i avoid supergroupos likr the plague but this CD kills from beginning to end

I actullay found Al's playing a bit understated on this effort..compared to what he does in OM and what he Did in Sleep....but i guess you had to expect that in a group with a guitad like Wino

They are playing in Austin this next week I'm hoping to make it down there...

He's still got some groovy stuff going on. It makes sense that since there are two guitars, there's a bit less sonic space for every instrument involved to roam in. Sleep only had one guitarist for most of their career, and of course, Om didn't have any.
