I love the fretless tone that this guy has.Can anyone help me in achieving a similar sort of tone with my bass.
How do i EQ it,any pedal that he might use?

If I'm not mistaken, he just runs his F bass sig through a markbass rig these days. I know he runs one of those Roland V amp pups for his slap work, but other than that, I think he's pretty straight forward. Good luck!

EDIT: Just checked out a few more of his vids. Looks like he has a few basic stomp box effects (verb, octave, synth) for character, but nothing that defines his tone overall.

I suspect that his signature model F-bass is a major contributor. I remember reading somewhere that Alain worked very closely with them on that bass, especially the voicing of the pickups and preamp.
