I'm a big fan of Alan Thomson, superb musicianship on John Martyn's albums, seen him live a few times, he also played a lot of session stuff with Rick Wakeman. Out of curiosity, does anyone know what basses he plays? Last time I saw him he had a couple of custom-looking basses, both matching bodies, both 4-string, one fretted the other fretless. They sounded heavenly. |
