All Things Must Pass - George Harrison

I've been listening to this album recently, and started thinking about the two bassists who played on the sessions, Klaus Voorman and Carl Radle, but I cannot distinguish who played on what track?
I,m gussing that maybe it was Voorman on My Sweet Lord and Radle on Beware Of Darkness, but the styles seem very similar to me!
Anyone care to guess who played on what track??

I was just reading the Wikipedia article on All Things Must Pass and its 2002 re-issue.

Weird...

Anyway, there's a lot of good information in that article as far as who did what on which track. I'm guessing that a lot is gleaned from the liner notes of the 2002 version.

I don't know but Klaus Voorman is awesome on Lennon's Whatever Get's You Through The Night.

Agreed, I've just recently seen the Concert For Bangladesh DVD, some terrific music on there!!
I read somewhere that Voorman started out on piano before picking up the bass, I did wonder how he became so proficient so quickly to become one of the top session players in England in the mid '60,s before linking up with Lennon and Harrison on their solo stuff!
Even working on the Plastic Ono Band and ATMP sessions both at the same time in the summer of 1970!

The Smithsonian Channel's "All You Need is Klaus", which began showing yesterday (Sunday), may shed some light:

Klaus knew the Beatles from their Hamburg days in '61-62. He designed the cover to "Revolver" as well. That's quite an 'in' for a guy from Germany.

I remember buying this triple album 'box set' back in the day.

A kid named Phil Collins on percussion and a young drummer named Alan White! Amazing.

If you like this stuff, check out Concert for George (Voorman plays a few tunes). Simply stunning performances of George's tunes, with McCartney, Billie Preston and Ringo in the band. SMOKING, and the Indian music is amazing also...

Albert Lee, Clapton, the keyboard player from Procol Harum, Jeff Lynn, etc., etc... really amazing.... Tom Scott in the horn section, etc.

Voorman & Radle..... LEGENDS

Aaaah!

When I hear the names Voorman and Radle.... my heart melts and long booming warm round bubbles of tone come to mind!

Radle was from my hometown... he's my musical hero.
