My wife is taking bass lessons and actually doing pretty well, not quite where she wants to be but getting there. She is in a all girl band and her true gift is her voice and ability to sing melody and harmony.Well I used to stand in with this group from time to time and she had a show yesterday,I usually supply them with my PA system and I mixed sound for the girls. The night before the girl gutarist who formed the band asked me to play bass(the wife will debut her bass playing next show)I got the chance to play bass at the mixing board which was cool because you really only get to hear yourself at stage volume unless you are cordless and walk out in the audience. So I played the entire show from the board lots of folks had strange looks or questions but it was just kind of cool and I thought I would share.Any one ever had similar experience?I usually play hofs but used my jazz last night I will try and upload a picture

When ever I have run the sound board, I have usually found myself too busy to do anything else but fiddle with knobs and sliders.

this was a small combo with amps not being mic'd I preset the mics and they were good to go all night,I know sometimes you have to mic the drums run direct boxes have the CD player laptop and lush harmonies and yeh under those conditions I probably would be hard pressed but this sound wise was a walk through the park
