hey guys,
i'm fairly new to bass.. been playing on and off for about one year now.
i wanna know if there's any particularly good musician/artist with clean and nice bass walks or fill-ins.
it doesn't have to be limited to rock music... it can be anything from jazz, alternative, etc...
oh yeah.. and how do you guys practice and improve your fill-ins? any good way to train?
thanks ! |

| | | | If it is walking you are looking for, maybe try some rockabilly. Play some old Stray Cats, that will work your fingers. I don't know your skill level, but ease into what you are looking for. Jumping into Rush or Jaco may frustrate the hell out of you and do more harm than good. Just my two cents. Good luck! |

Obviously you can't really make that kind of statement, but he's amazing.
Check out Hidden Land by the Bela Fleck and the Flecktones for some inspiration, not just for bass playing, but music in general.
On a side note, does anyone know where I can out more about that GORGEOUS acoustic/electric Vic was playing in the Hidden Land dvd? | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
