Always overlooked when we talk about fretless cats, especially since he's been around for thirty years.

Looks like his fingerboard is epoxied. That sure isn't a carvin option!

Yeah... a video game loop of midi music Once you get past the amazing skill and technique, it's boring- Not necessarily him in general, just this video.

Wow! Under-rated, yes! I've never heard of him!

Anyone recommend me a record to grab with him playing on?

Thumbs up B.B.B.

I've been following BB since his back days with Chick Corea,
...I can't reach him yet.

Carvin used to distribute some of his CDs and for good prices - I don't know if they still do that or not...

+1 I believe it is!

A hugely overlooked player, especially since he used to play with Chick Corea, and IMO totally blows away his successor, John Patitucci!

His stuff with CAB (Bunny, Tony MacAlpine and Dennis Chambers) is ridiculously good modern fusion. He plays some amazing fretless stuff there, and as far as trios go, IMO those are three of the absolute best (especially Tony!).

I have been curious about him since....

every time he plays at these bass player events with other more famous players (like Stanley, Victor, Marcus etc.) he is always mentioned as the standout or one of the standout players. Every time, without fail. that, to me is impressive.

Brunel's great, one of my greatest fretless influences!!
I literally "devoured" his "Momentum" and "LA Zoo" albums!
Also CAB have some nice stuff out!!
The things I love more in Bunny are his melodic approach to basslines and his solos, always particular...

Sorry for the thread rez, but CAB4 is available on iTunes...I picked it up and it was fantastic. Sure, it's mostly about the technique but the songs are very listenable regardless. Highly recommended!

Bunny is an amazing player, and he has also written some really good instructional material. His Power Bass Soloing Secrets is my favorite bass book.
