He also has a YT channel with recordings of those transcriptions as well. See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8p95cfZ3V5w
I for one have my work cut out for me if I want to attempt that song... |

My top picks are the pillows and Do As Infinity. I can only play the pillows' "Funny Bunny" (actually recorded a cover on Youtube, but for some reason it only sounds good on good-quality headphones--sounds like crap on speakers). I have Do As Infinity's "Best Collection" band score, which has full guitar/bass/drum/keyboard/piano/everything notation for 21 of their songs, but I can't play any yet. I can play the intro to 焔 ('Honoo' [flame]) but that's it. Do As Infinity's bassist goes all over the place!
I'm really liking the pillows album "Pied Piper". "New Animal" is one of my favorite songs so far, but I can't play by ear so no luck playing it

Or in my case, finding out he does have the song I'm looking for except only written out for 5-string.
Now transcribing Yoko Kanno's compositions (Tank! from Cowboy Bebop is awesome) is just an exercise in applying head directly to the reinforced concrete wall. |

I can play cowboy. Bebops intro. Its a fun one.
Some of bleach and naruto and death note intros are also fun.
A bassist named kenken is sick. Not sure if any of his stuff is in anime tho.

Me personally, I love to play lines from Bubblegum Crisis (the original), Angel Sanctuary, Cowboy Bebop, and various others.
Also included can be japanese pop/rock, or even american cartoons that have an anime flair.
Anyone else do this too??

I finally got the Tenchi Muyo song as well, but same as MCT, cant get it to sound as awesome, I think the original might be fretless playing. |
