Also, I've got this song down on bass: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DL_KyJpRuKU
I'm a fan of Steve Conte and Yoko Kanno and when I heard this song they did for Cowboy Bebop with such a driving bass line, well...it was so awesome it blew my brain out my butt! Anyways, I love the music from The Seatbelts. http://youtu.be/YE_ofAg8POY?t=3m25s

I've been wanting to learn Driver's High by L'Arc~en~Ciel forever and I finally took the time to learn it! I think I'll have it down well enough by weeks end. I'm a big GTO fan in case you couldn't tell

I don't always use Photoshop.
But when I do, I make sure it involves anime. Quote:

Wow. I wasn't a fan of how it resolved itself, but that one really got to me a few times.

The ending was a little hard to understand if you never read/played the visual novel. Most of the original viewers in Japan would have, however, so they knew what was going on.
I'm a little surprised that I didn't see anyone mention the Girls Dead Monster band from "Angel Beats!" here. Did I miss it? Lotsa good songs on soundtracks from that show. |

Anime songs are freakin hard. The bass seems a lot more involved than in a lot of American and British rock music.

I love the "complexity" of Japanese music basslines, it's a totally different music approach. Examples include tetsu of L'arc en Ciel (crazy bass lines!!!) and Seiji Kameda (Tokyo Jihen, my favourite Japanese band, he even plays some walking bass lines).
Btw, count me in too!!! I've played in a anime cover band and I just loved the feeling of playing those tunes haha. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
