| | | | Nothing against you Panda, but that list is the biggest joke, for tons of reasons I'm just not going to get into. Too much I could complain about. The biggest surprise here is that any bassists who I think are good actually got on the list at all. Jamerson, for example. Eh, I generally don't bother reading such things, but clicked on it because if came from a TB member.

Mark Hoppus should not be in the upper register of that list at all!

Pretty much the same thing.

Geddy Lee is an amazing bass player! the way that he plays scales behind those powerful rush licks is phenominal! His ability to mix jazz and slap bass into modern rock is probably the best thing about Rush. Geddy Lee is amazing and if I had this list my way he’d be right up at the top probably with with Mark King and Chris Squire from Yes. Chris Squire’s lick in Roundabout is almost as great as a Geddy Lee line.
Geddy Lee is probably the best bass player of all time despite what an unpublished internet website may tell you.
| Spot the more intelligent answer!
Conclusion:
90% of people on Top Ten List.com are morons.

hes also a really good singer and sometimes he jumps around while he plays
| I'm sold!
Edit: after a lot of looking through the comments, there are more I feel like sharing. Instead I'm going for a good cry.
Edit number 2: ok, ok, here's another, I can't resist. Quote: |
You people are stupid, Cliff Burton should be in the top ten, there are a lot of bassist better than Jaco whats his name, all he ever wrote was freaking elevator music

FWIW, I didn't even see Duck Dunn or Bob Babbitt, who both could pocket the groove like a stolen c-note. |

Who would have guessed? Also how the hell does Tom Araya get on list for greatest anything?
