Some fresh Sharay for his fans at TB. It seems he has a bunch of new clips up.

GospelChops has a new video in 2 parts with Sharay. I've got a man crush on the dude and just found out he's not really an unknown quantity. He's done a bunch of recording with some famous people.

Thanks for the link! I really admire Sharay. I love his ability of course, but I also appreciate his love of music itself. Although he may not think about it, I love the fact that he plays an off the shelf Fender. That alone really rams home the message about the importance of the music, and not the look or the gear. I just wish I had possessed his wisdom twenty-five or thirty years ago.

Sharay is awesome. He is gospel for sure. Gospel is...well i think you just have to be born with it. I realized this sad truth about a year into playing, and well, it's sort of disheartening to say the least : /

But, i guess i can take solace in knowing that i'll always thoroughly enjoy gospel music, since i'm in complete awe when they (mostly black folk) do 'it' ::so tight::

He has a very hard to quantify talent. There is something about the players that have just wicked chops but they are always playing to the song. I like the nodding head thing too.

Very cool posts!!!! It is very cool to get some insights directly from the man himself. There are very few bassists that execute the groove and ridiculous fills like Sharay!!!!

Thank you for the inspiration and education, Mr. Reed!!!

He's not quite in tune with the Blues! Not a good solo!
