Any Filipino bassist club here in TB?

Is there any noy-pi bahista club here in TB?
I'm searching for one here@ TB but could'nt find one.
Lets make one! No offense but lets prove "pinoy crab mentality is over-rated"

1) name
2) location
3) pics of main bass (if any?)

Pinoy ako...but I don't want a "number".

I was born here (in the states) and my Tagalog is really bad! What's "Pinoy crab mentality"?

I'm not saying we're putting a number... I'm not making a negative stereotype here, juz tryin to see how many are we here. u count as pinoy... as long as it runs in your blood, it doesn't matter if your born in USA. I'm juz wondering how many pinoy TB'ers here.

Some Filipinos popped up in this thread: asian bassists

But seriously, what's "Pinoy crab mentality"? I've never heard that term.

crab mentality according to wiki:This term is broadly associated with short-sighted, non-constructive thinking rather than a unified, long-term, constructive mentality. It is also often used colloquially in reference to individuals or communities attempting to "escape" a so-called "underprivileged life", but kept from doing so by others attempting to ride upon their coat-tails or those who simply resent their success.[1]

I've seen the asian bassist but how many are we really?

adobo n manny pacquiao for me is the best thing that ever happen to pinoys! cheers to u!

I'm part Filipino, but also a lot of other things (I think last count was 14 or so total). So I guess I could count. Don't need a number though.

Not Filipino but I did play bass in a Filipino band (members were from Olongapo). Was a great 5 years. Learned a lot about the culture!

a lot of awesome musicians came from olongapo... though unsung and local they have the best pool of musicians there who can jam any time, any where.

I used a "Tabo" once...does that count???

I am not filipino but my sister is married to one and my nieces and nephews are all half.
I know a few words in Tagalog but mostly slang and/or offensive.

Gotta love relatives!

The drummer in my covers band is Filipino(mom's side- his father was in the army during WW-II, you know the rest ). GREAT guy, awesome grill-cook/BBQ-man. I've known a few Filipinos over the years and at the risk of stereotyping, there seems to be a powerful *service w/a very sincere smile* gene there- always helping, encouraging and FEEDING peeps! Tons of flip's(can I say that? I mean it w/nuthin but love )in nursing, too.
