Any Leonard Hubbard/ Hip-Hop fans out there?

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm a huge hip-hop fan and I give a lot of credit to my love of the genre to the heavy use of bass (even though it's not always real, if it sounds good and grooves I love it). At the very top of my list is The Roots.

Leonard "Hub" Hubbard, they're long time bassist (until 2007), is one of my favorite of all time.

So I'm wondering if anyone else out there like's his stuff, or has suggestions on other great hip-hop bassists.

big fan of the roots, seen them live twice. once with hub, other with owen biddle.

i prefer hub, less notes and more groove. i really like their live record, killer bass work on there.

A guy who plays a 6'er replaced him on Jimmy Fallon's show.

I'm pretty sure that's why he hasn't worked much since.
