I had a dream I met him a while ago. He stayed at my house and I got to try out the 3 basses he bought with him. But I didn't go to see him play because I thought there wouldn't be tickets but there was

He was a really nice guy in my dream.

... ;P

Yes. I was lucky enough to score backstage passes in 1990 during the presto tour. Mr. Big was the opening act. I met both Geddy and Billy Sheehan backstage, and they were both gentlemen - in fact, each spent about ten minutes with me. It was very cool!

Yeah...in person 3 times and a few emails and phone calls. One of the most down-to-earth, humble, and funny guys out there.

Ok maybe I'm the only one with a non positive with Geddy here. Just after soundcheck for the Power Windows tour. He signed an autograph but said little else to me. Alex Lifeson on the other hand could not have been more gracious. Spent about ten minutes just chatting and then he apologized for having to leave. Great guitar player and even better guy.

Spent some time with them back in the day ['Power Windows']. All nice guys, and smart.

A few months later, their road manager invited me to attend a Braves home game with Mr. Lee. [We beat the Astros! <g> ]. He's absolutely a class act.

Still doesn't sound like he was a jerk or anything; maybe just tired, or really concentrating on the coming performance.

I was working in a cushy hotel as a banquet waiter. They just had a show with Primus and Geddy was rumored to be in the hotel a few extra days to catch some Blue Jays baseball.

I scored his room number from room service and had him sign my Roll The Bones cover. He was torqued at me for 'discovering' him but signed my item. He just asked that I not tell anyone else about his location..

Hahaha he actually said, "this is bullshiat" after I spilled it that I wasn't really there for room service.. heh.

I don't know about non-positive. He signed you an autograph, didn't he? Even though sounc check was done, that doesn't mean you can just sit back and laze around til showtime. However, I know what you mean about Alex, I've never met him but from watching interviews, even just from watching him play live, he comes across as an incredibly cool, fun type of guy.

I almost got to shake his hand but his nose clipped my forehead and knocked me unconscious.

spent about 2 hours with him and Alex when they opened the Moving Pictures tour here in K-zoo. Met my hero, had a great chat, was a great deal of fun. Music, sports....especially baseball with Geddy, random humor, books. was one of the biggest thrills of my life.

Thumbs up

I got to meet him when he was signing his solo CD a couple of year ago. Just a totally nice guy. He was supposed to only sign the first 500 CD's purchased, but about 1000 people showed up. He stayed and signed everyone stuff.

That gets big points in my book.
