Any solo bassists from the 60s?

I realize this may be close to another thread in here, but what can I say? The 60s must be in the air.

I'm hoping some of our TBers with encyclopedic-like memories could recall some top bass solos (if any) from the 60s. Now, I'm not talking about all of the great bass lines and grooves from that era, but a genuine solo.

I'm thinking the solo break in "My Generation" by the Who's John Entwistle.

Yup. Bass solo + 60s = Entwistle.

Just out of range but Colin Hodgkinson (whom I know very little about really) get's referenced by quite a few great players with bringing a different solo (sort of) angle to bass in the early 70's.

A later clip.

Mayers...more like a solo during a song. I'm trying to come up with a 4-measure solo that fits that style or era of music. More early 60s be-bop. I'm doing my audio "research" now.

Skitch It...thanks. Colin is new to me and I like him. Not quite spot on, but close enough to listen to some more. I particularly like what he was doing starting at 1:35 in this vid: Colin Hodgkinson Solo - YouTube

I really know as much as you about Colin Hodgkinson but have heard his name mentioned by a few guy's, Squarepusher aka Tom Jenkinson for one mentions him as an influence. He seems to have played a fair discography for quite a few well known artists but seems to slip under the radar. Anyway's, thought I'd put him up, very different early-on approach for sure.

Monk Montgomery. Jazz bassist from the 50's-60's who played electric bass as a solo instrument. He was Wes Montgomery's brother. I have an album named "Bass Odyssey" which is pretty great.

I think one of the first electric bass solos was recorded by the late Jet Harris on 'Nivram' back in 1960
