i have been to a Unitarian church before... interesting, out of the norm, but very nice peeps. In fact, my dad lives walking distance from it (my childhood hood).. one of my best friends from HS... his parents are on the board. They are good people.

there is one very popular person on this board that is one for sure, but i'll let him speak for himself..

peace

I grew up Unitarian Universalist. And I agree with NJL, UU is something different / something unique, and lots of nice (very liberal) people. But I don't do religion anymore, really.

I've been attanding a UU church for a while now. It's a very nice community, very tolerant and encouraging of the differing spiritual needs of different people.

At least fix the spelling in the title, it sounds like an intergalatic church.

I went when I was a teen, every year the youth group got to do a service and I would do the music using loopers and pedals. Fun stuff.

Guys!

No talk about religion here!

If you belong to this religion and you are a bassist, then fine you can post here stating so etc.

But there shall be no talk about the pros, cons and whatever else regarding this religion or this thread will be closed asap.

As I said, this thread can stay open if there is no talk about the religion itself. Those kind of threads are simply not allowed here on TB (well except in the lobby).

I have already deleted a bunch of posts from this thread and I if this thread derails again, it will be closed.

My local UU church did the annual "Jazz Sunday" today and I played bass, along with a few of my mom's colleagues from Berklee who stopped on down...

My mom was on the panel to construct the hymnal that just came out...she wrote or arranged a good chunk of the songs in it.

I'm a UU ... has anyone ever attended a UU Church with a band like some of the gospel bassists on TB are in? I'd love to see a UU Church update the music and kick it up a bit.

I'm a UU as well, though I haven't been to a service in a few years.
