Anybody know who played on "Funk 49"?

This is the James Gang with Joe Walsh. The song, "Funk 49" is probably very cliche, but I find the bass line to be the all encompassing home practice session. Really impressive, especially for its time.

Who played on this?

Thanks. It's really a great demonstration of what you can do in a single position - excellent creativity.

I should put Dale Peters on my list of influences. I only listened to that album about a million times in high school!

They don't make them like the James Gang anymore, either. What a band live, wow!

In Montana they have signs over bars that say,"Before engaging your mouth, make sure your mind is in gear!"

Back in the day, if a high school/garage band guitarist could pull off "Funk 49"...he was OK.
"Free Ride" was another.

Especially for its time? Check out more of the stuff from that era...IMO, the creativity was much more happenin' in the Pop/Rock scene then vs. what's goin' on today(for the most part).
