Haven't heard of him, but love jazz. Last year, I played a jazz gig almost every week, more in the summer. Played upright though. I've been listening to a lot of the new guys... Kurt Rosenwinkel, Brad Mehldau, Sephardic Tinge, etc as well as teh "old guys"... Bill Evans, Keith Jarrett, Wayne Shorter, etc

HE'S AWESOME! My dad got me into him. I love him. I got 2 of his CD's. Great groove on the piccolo.

Wayman Tisdale is a lefty bassist that used to play in the NBA... very smooth jazz-like stuff.

... hey Xar!

Smooth jazz? No wonder I haven't heard of him. I don;t listen to much that is smooth unless Charlie Hunter/Pound for Pound counts.

Hey j-raj, do we know each other?

I love jazz. And smooth jazz. But smooth jazz isn't jazz.

Right now I've been into Bill Evans, Pat Martino, John Patitucci, Dave Holland Big Band, and Art Pepper.
