BTW The drummers alone are worth the price of admission! Stan's dude from Compton is one of the best I've seen in a long long time. One of the few really compelling drum solos I've heard in years and the guy spent four hours in the emergency room that morning with stomach issues. He came out on stage sweating, looking like he wasn't going to make it and by the end of the show he was just amazing.

Rumor had it the first place he went to after the ER was a Wendy's for a cheeseburger. Drummers. Gotta love 'em!

Is that the old Horizontal Boogie Bar? I used to play there constantly in the early 90s. Great venue!

The Stanley Clarke clinic in Michigan was nothing short of inspiring! The concert was awesome, too, but due to the clinic running late I missed most of Vic's show. Anyone know where I can buy the Chinese-made upright bass he uses? He said he had the guy make them for $600, and his upright sounds amazing!

Wonder if they are actually playing songs. I saw SMV a few years ago and was really disappointed that it was 2.5 of just wanking. I love a good wank, but you know, there needs to be a bit more. (especially odd since they have a cd with various tunes on it and all 3 of them have been known to write an occasional tunes or two).

I invite the wanking. I thought SMV was inspiring, and have seen Wooten band on this stage before. I am super excited TODAY is the the day, those guys can funk that bass on Chopsticks all night and Im sure it will be good.

Clinic at the great great House of Guitars. Awesome, I love how Vic takes the time to talk to ever one of us snot nosed jackoffs.

Wooten bros band kicked it, Vic is awesome of course, but its so cool to see how he and Joe and Reggie work off each other, and how comfortable they are jamming together.

Stan rocked the upright

good times - now Flecktones at Jazz fest in June

I was there last night, great show. Stanley's drummer was phenomenal. You could hear little hip-hop influenced breaks within his playing, which was aweosme. Vic was great, too. Awesome show
