YES! that guy gets some great tone. he uses different gear from time to time. i think i read somewhere that on the "yoshimi.." release he used some bass that had 20+ year old strings. sounds like my kind of guy. also, another great example of playing what the song calls for. I LOVE THE FLAMING LIPS.
