anyone heard of mute math?

amazing new band in the whole indie scene. if the police were still as experimental now as they were then, i think this is what they would sound like. anyway, their bass player is roy mitchell-cardenas and is a contradiction in my thinking of bass. he's a way busy player but all the note choices are super tasteful. but it's in a rock band. i just don't find that balance too often. anyway, you can find them at http://www.myspace.com/mutemath.

I like the comparison to The Police - I actually thought the same thing the first time I heard them.

I need to get Mute Math's CD so I can give them some real listening time. I unfortunately forgot to see them on their tour earlier this year (that was stupid of me).

I love the bassline on Chaos. Awseome.

Yeah, mute math are great from what I've heard of them (I don't have their cd), love the experimental vibe of them. I was a big fan of the band that a few of them used to be in (Earthsuit), and I got to meet Roy once after a show they did here in oz - he's a great guy to talk with as well as being a fantastic bass player.
