Martin Mendez is the BEST when it comes to a Death Metal player who is extremely flexible in how he plays, Webster is the best straight ahead METAL player (IMO) and DiGiorgio is just an amazing player, and really unique. |

Here's Bryan Beller, from their real-life incarnation showing us his stuff... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YS7NXRQXem4 |

Opeth is mostly known for the amazing song writing and Big, intricate guitar riffs, but check out the bass next time you listen. Amazing stuff. I think he's one of the most underestimated bassist, not just in metal, but in rock in general. Great tone, great technique. |

Fretless jazz bass in Death Metal, hell yeah.
Another bassist that not many know is Tony Choy of the band Atheist. Absolutely amazing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sNWhqyaLOJk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9vh7KOlWrHk
