Anyone know the gear used by the bassist(s) of Eletric Wizard?

I know theyve had a couple guys rotate in and out, but I was wondering if any of you all knew what gear they have used past and present on the bass side of things.

Ive seen Trabens mentioned and fuzz boxes, but thats about the extent of my knowledge. Any heads up would be cool

Heres a clip in case you dont who EW are:

On their latest UK tour the bassist was certainly using a black Rickenbacker. This bassist (with all the tattoos) is not their usual bassist as of late. Not sure what Tal uses.

I'm guessing old valve amps (Matamps and Oranges) are favoured, along with sheer volume. My mate saw them live recently and said the stage was 'littered' with old valve amps completely unmatched, and a motley collection of cabinets, all in various stages of decay.

I think regardless of what their bassists use the vibe of the band is key here. They sit behind the beat a lot, and notably slow down during verses or certain phrases (think Funeralopolis) to add a lot of sludge to their sound. Their vocals are also typically undermixed (intentionally) and overprocessed (intentionally) so as not to detract from the sheer weight of the guitars and bass.

I don't think Doom/Stoner bands care so much about individual instruments. I've seen Stingrays, Gibson RD Artists and Rickenbackers, alongside your usual brace of Fenders in the hands of such artists. You could probably use a Danelectro Longhorn or something. Just play wth an exadurated and heavy finger style (think Geezer Butler's percussive style) and a lot of warm drive.

.
Don't know if this still stands, but they used to have a rule about only using gear from the sixties/early seventies. The guy who recorded our album had Electric Wizard in the studio a while before us, and they apparently set up this mismatched drumkit, totally on it's last legs and sounding dreadful. But, it's vintage, so that's what you hear on the album!
I think they used the studio snare though.

I'm not sure if they used the FZ-2's for Witchcult Today.

I've got nothing useful to add. I'm a fairly recent convert to Electric Wizard. Can't get enough. So far the only CDs I've got are Dopethrone and Witchcult Today.

I saw them a few months back (can't remember exactly when) but was an amazing show and a band called Blood Ceremony supported them. If you get the chance to see them do it and get up close if you can.
