Protest The Hero's bassist.

Does anyone else think he's one of the best bassists around?
I saw him live yesterday and it was glorious. He jumped across the fretboard and made it seem pretty damn effortless; he was just smiling the whole time, even when it got really technical!

Anyone else like him?
We can use this as general metalcore bassist discussion, too, I guess!

Try it, though. You might like it. It's fun.

I like the band but I would not consider him a great bass player he is just playing guitar on the bass
He ain't got no low flo mojo just guitar licks on bass

quite nice :-)

Arif is definitely doing a bit more that your average metal bassist, not sure I would call him one of the best bassist tho

So jealous you got to see him live. He's definitely been a huge influence on my playing lately. It's not just that tapping and slapping, everything he plays just works perfectly.

Well, you know...
One of the best in his scene. There aren't many metalcore bassists who can touch him.

Listen carefully next time.
Really, really carefully.

Me too.
Well, sort of. He's too good to influence me and the recordings of 16-year-old Arif aren't very good (well, actually, they're really good, but compared to the others...).
