Awesome Bass Players AND Singers?

Sign in to disble this ad
Let's think of some: tell me your favorite bass players/lead singers. Off the top of my head, I think of Mark Hoppus from blink-182 and the dude from All American Rejects.

goes without saying: they don't have to be very good at bass to be counted

but... i do like both their voices...

the other one i can think of is Jaco on Birdland; gotta love that...

Well, now that I've got to actually thinking, I've pulled out two more: Sting and Paul McCartney, obviously.

Esperanza Spalding is gaining popularity, but she's more in the jazz and R&B/soul vein. Some bigger names would be Les Claypool, Paul McCartney, and Geddy Lee (although I like his bass playing much more than his singing).

Joe Duplantier. I don't think he sings and plays bass at same time, but he plays guitar and dings at the same time and plays bass in a seperate band. Gojira and Cavalera Conspiracy. His guitar/singing isn't always so easy though. Some really difficult technical riffs he'll sing over.
