This is an awesome live clip of Paul Gray, playing melodic lines to "snuff live.

I really appreciate his playing in this, and he was a really good bass man. The thread about his death has turned into a Dr. Drew fiasco. I just want to share how awesome he was. He doesn't really kick in for until a 1:20 or so, but the melodies he plays in the 2nd verse are awesome. I know this song has been played out. This live version he does a lot more than he did on the recorded version. I am making this thread in respect for him as a man of the bass, instead of psychoanalyzing addiction. Just take a listen and tip your beer in respect. He was one of us!

If anyone else has other good live vids of his playing please post him. Lets come together as bassist and show respect for our fallen brother.

I like that this thread has been started, it's sick what their doing on the other thread. Not sure if that was the best song, I think the heavier stuff shows off what he does better. I'm not a Slipknot fan though.

Im not sure if anyone has heard much off the Mate.Feed.Kill.Repeat album (Slipknots first unofficial realease for those die hard fans) But he has some really good bass work on there, 'confessions' is full of quick jazzy melodic lines and there's a nice slap solo in 'Do Nothing(Bitchslap)'. Unfortunately he dumbed down his playing lots when they got signed

That song was boring. The last Slipknot album sucked

Yes, "Confessions", and "Do nothing/Bitchslap" are great jams.

Here is another link to show how laid back of a guy he was.

Not that I am the biggest Korn fan but here he is jamming with Korn (Fieldy included) dual basses on "Blind" live. Still pretty neat.
