The live clip does sound like a stingray, but I'm sure that he is playing an Alembic along with a stingray for overdubs on the studio cut.

I can remember the skating rink DJ playing "Hand Dance" all night long. I think they had a song called "On the Moon" also. It went, "la la la la, zoom zoom zoom, lets go dancing on the moon." That use to bump!
