I've been listening to Graceland and Rhythm of the Saints recently.

Paul Simon's music is astounding already, but with Bakithi's basslines it becomes nothing short of phenomenal. He has easily become one of my favorite bassists of all time in a matter of hours.

I've just begun checking out some of his solo work as well......he is an incredible musician.

Anyone who concurs?

B.K. is a big part of the reason I play bass! Check out this site if you haven't already: http://www.boneinthenose.com/

I concur. He is amazing and inspirational. Sounds phenomenal 10 years later. If you enjoy his playing you must listen to Guy Nsangue who plays on a few Jean Luc Ponty CDs Tchokola and No Absolute Time. Highly recommended.

Someone here at TalkBass just hipped me to a vocals/bass version of "Diamonds On The Soles Of Her Shoes"...available as a bonus track on an expanded version of Graceland.
I have had the album for years...just picked up the single track at iTunes. PDB.
