Band with great bass you'll never hear about from me

I wrote a post about a great band I heard recently. Today I find the thread gone because I used a word to describe them that someone thought was offensive. So now this band gets no publicity on Talkbass from me thanks to the mod who removed my post. Good going. Way to encourage sales for a band with a great bassist.

Aw man, why'd you go and do that? This place doesn't deserve to hear about them if they're going to complain about it. They need to stick with Flea and Timmy C and Vic and all the same bass players we've been talking about for decades.

Sorry I used such a horrible word as "gay" to describe them, even though the singer is on the front of their website putting garish eye makeup on. BTW, j-raj, I'm not blaming you for deleting that thread, but the idiots who complained.

I know, there seems to be plenty of conversation about the usual suspects (Vic/Stanley/Commerford/Flea/Les/insert popular bassist here) on TB, especially this section. Glad you brought them up. What is their bassist's name?

I don't know their bassist's name. Apparently at one time they had a full band, then it became where this one guy recorded almost all of the tracks, and had a girlfriend or something who played bass on some tracks, and it seems very confusing to follow, so I don't know who the bassist is, nor do I understand what he's doing with a girlfriend

Are you sure it was a girlfriend? With all the make-up and such it's getting quite hard to tell them apart...
