I just saw UFO tonight, had no idea who Barry Sparks was but he blew my mind! No BS I'd rather see UFO than Rush!!!! Barry Sparks is freaking amazing!!!!!
He"s touring with UFO right now, Vinnie Moore on guitar. I must admit I didn't know who he was. He stole the show. What a fun bass player to watch and listen to!!! I am gobsmacked.
And tonight he had a gorgeous ESP thunderbird thru an old school SVT. Amazing tone and finesse for days. I don't know whether to just quit playing or try harder!!
When I saw him with dokken, he had carvin 6 strings with a bass pod pro. He was the first and only "pro" I saw use the pod live. He was a pleasure to watch.

Honestly I had an epiphany watching him last night. He was having so much fun that it made everyone in the room happy. I am going to make a point of sharing my joy at being onstage with my audiences. What a performer that guy is!!!
