Bass Clinic- Andy Irvine 12 String Bass!

I was lucky enough to have the chance to see Andy Irvine (Warwick Artist) last evening at my local Sam Ash. Great guy, great performer and really down to earth and easy to talk to. While he was there he jammed with some local artists. He was playing the most unique bass I have ever seen, and I thought that I would share a couple pics.

That is one crazy looking bass. The video of Andy Irvine playing metal on Warwick's 5 string Triumph EUB is crazy.

This looks like a 6x2 bass rather than the more usual 4x3... Shades of Zooma.....

I wish there were some better Youtube clips of him playing those things.... the only ones I've seen are him at Guitar Wars, most of the other stuff is him doing 4-string with Them Crooked Vultures or acoustic stuff with other people....

Dude watch Spinning with the daffodils live and you can see the awesomeness that is JPJ's 12 string.
