About a year ago I was at a party.
The band I was with started playing Wild Thing.
I handed a girl the bass and said put you finger here, then here, then here. Pluck with the other hand. She didn't sound half bad for someone that had never played. Poor girl, she is about 5' 1" and I handed her my sweaty RIC.
Oh course the rest of the band said it was the best my bass had ever sounded. |

on the subject of whether bass is hard or easy.......
chops is easy
groove is HARD
once you are relatively competent...the hardest thing is to learn when NOT to play....when to lay back.......

That is where bass easyness ends.
For the the rest,it all depends on how much well you want to play it. I want to play better,and better,and better...so, bass is never easy for me! |
